I might never have been to Disney, but I’ve heard from virtually every person who has how tasty the Dole Whip is. A sweet and creamy pineapple sorbet, this tasty treat is a must-order for vacationers young and old. But you don’t have to go all the way to Disney to enjoy the refreshing dessert!
This delicious Pineapple Whip recipe is just as sweet and refreshing as the popular pick, but it goes much lighter on calories, sugar and fat. All you need to make it is some frozen pineapple, frozen bananas (just be sure to remove the peels prior to tossing them in your freezer and some form of milk (I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk because it contributes to the nice creamy texture without piling on calories, but you can use regular milk, soy milk or your favorite nut milk). You can also use coconut water for a more tropical take.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups frozen pineapple
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or milk of your choice)
Directions:
- Place all ingredients in your food processor and blend until smooth and creamy. Note: Don’t have a food processor? You can use a blender but you may have to stop every few seconds to scrape the sides of the blender.
