Cannoli “Crack” Dip

cannoli-crack-dip

Full disclosure: This recipe is a COMPLETE departure from our usual selections. It’s not packed with nutrition. It’s not low in calories, sugar or fat. It’s not dairy-free. And it’s definitely not something we recommend you eat every day.

But here’s what it IS: Delicious, sweet, creamy and unbelievably popular at every party we’ve ever brought it to. It tastes like the inside of a cannoli but it’s thicker and creamier and perfect for dipping.

Serve it with wafers, graham crackers or fresh fruit (we threw some strawberries on toothpicks and dipped them in… delightful).

If you’d like to slim this Cannoli Dip down a bit, consider purchasing low fat cream cheese and ricotta cheese, use Stevia instead of confectioners’ sugar, and cut the chocolate chips down by half.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package cream cheese (8 oz)
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1.5 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 bag mini semisweet chocolate chips
  • Nilla wafers, graham crackers or fresh fruit slices, for dipping

Directions:

  • Combine cream cheese and ricotta cheese until smooth.
  • Add vanilla extract and fold in sugar.
  • Once mixture is smooth, pour in chocolate chips and mix until evenly distributed.
