3-Ingredient Strawberry Banana Ice Cream

For the past three Valentine’s Days, all my husband has talked about has been this Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cake. So this year, I decided to cave in and get it for him. But because I know I cannot be stopped around desserts, I knew I needed to have something sweet on hand to enjoy while he goes crazy on his dream cake.

Enter this Strawberry Banana Ice Cream. It’s git just three simple, clean ingredients: Frozen strawberries, frozen banana and unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or whatever milk you prefer). You just toss the three ingredients in the food processor, let it do it’s magic, then sit down to a sweet bowl of Strawberry Banana deliciousness.

It’s sweet, it’s creamy, it makes a pretty large portion size, and it won’t derail any work you put in at the gym. That’s my kind of dessert!

Now I’ll be honest, I did have a sliver of my husband’s cake because c’mon, it’s all about moderation, right? But then I switched over to my delicious Strawberry Banana Ice Cream and was completely satisfied.

Here’s how to make this mouthwatering a Strawberry Banana Ice Cream:

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana, peeled and frozen
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/3 cup milk of choice
  • 1 Tbsp. Maple syrup
  • Sprinkles, chopped nuts or fresh fruit for topping


Directions:

1. Combine all ingredients in food processor and process until smooth.

2. Top with desired toppings and serve immediately.

Note: The texture will be similar to a sorbet. If you prefer a more solid, ice cream-like texture, place in freezer for at least a half hour before serving.
