With just four simple ingredients, including crescent rolls, nut butter, apple and cinnamon, these Apple and Nut Butter Turnovers are so easy to make, little ones can help. And they’re so delicious, you won’t have to work hard to convince them to dig in.
But here’s the best part: They’re actually good for you! They’ve got heathy fats and protein, thanks to the nut butter, plus fiber and vitamins C and B, thanks to the apple. And each tasty treat is fewer than 200 calories, which means they’re totally guilt-free – so you don’t need to have a child’s speedy metabolism to enjoy them.
We suggest experimenting with different nut butter flavors just for fun. We taste tested a few different versions, including Betsy’s Best Cinnamon Almond Butter with Chia Seeds and Toasted Coconut Cashew with Chia Seeds, as well as Reginald’s Bourbon Pecan Peanut Butter, and each offered a little something special!
